Sara Özogul

Postdoctoral Researcher

Dr. Sara Özogul is Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Manager of the WHIG project in Amsterdam. Her background is in Planning, Urban Studies and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a focus on Human Geography. She completed her PhD in Planning at the University of Amsterdam, received her MSc in Urban Studies from University College London, and holds a BA in Social Sciences from University College Roosevelt. Her research centres around spatial planning and governance complexities, which she approaches from several angles including social policy and property-driven urban development. Previously, she worked as a researcher for the EU-funded project DIVERCITIES (Governing Urban Diversity: Creating social cohesion, social mobility and economic performance in today’s hyperdiversified cities) and held several teaching positions in the Department of Geography, Planning and International Development at the University of Amsterdam.
